The Pro Seller badge marks a Walmart Marketplace seller as reliable and comes with fee discounts and other perks. There’s no application: Walmart checks your account against its criteria. Use this checklist to see where you stand. The criteria come from Walmart Marketplace’s Pro Seller program page, checked September 2026, and Walmart can change them.
Short answer
You need more than 100 orders in the past 90 days, an account active for at least 90 days, no policy problems, and six performance scores at Walmart’s thresholds: on-time delivery 95% or above, cancellations 1.5% or below, seller responsiveness 95% or above, shipping speed 50% or above, content quality 75% or above and price competitiveness 75% or above.
Eligibility checklist
- More than 100 orders in the past 90 days.
- Account active for at least 90 days.
- In good standing with Walmart’s policies.
Performance checklist
| Metric | Pro Seller threshold | Where to start if you’re below it |
|---|---|---|
| On-time delivery | 95% or above | Check handling time, carrier cut-off times and shipping templates; consider WFS for fast movers. |
| Cancellation rate | 1.5% or below | Keep inventory counts accurate so you don’t sell stock you don’t have. |
| Seller responsiveness | 95% or above | Answer customer messages every business day, including weekends in busy seasons. |
| Shipping speed | 50% or above | Offer faster delivery options on your best sellers. |
| Content quality | 75% or above | Fill every attribute, write clear titles and descriptions, and add enough images. |
| Price competitiveness | 75% or above | Compare your prices with the same item elsewhere; Walmart marks this criterion as new. |
These are stricter than Walmart’s general Seller Performance Standards, which ask for on-time delivery of 90% or above and cancellations of 2% or below. Meeting the general standards keeps your account healthy; the badge needs more.
What Pro Sellers get
Walmart lists these benefits for Pro Sellers:
- The Pro Seller badge on your listings.
- A 10% referral fee discount on qualified listings.
- A search engine marketing credit.
- Access to Flash Deals.
- Quarterly rotating rewards.
- Faster payouts.
- A post-purchase reviews credit and a Ship with Walmart discount.
- Walmart Capital terms.
Walmart says it can verify eligibility, recalculate or reassess benefits at its discretion, so treat the list as current, not permanent.
How to keep the badge
- Check your scores every week, not only when the badge is at risk.
- Plan stock and shipping for peak season early, when on-time delivery usually slips.
- Fix listing content as soon as a new item goes live, so content quality doesn’t drop as the catalog grows.
- Watch price competitiveness when you change prices or when competitors do.
How RetailerBox helps
Our Walmart Account Management team watches your Seller Center metrics, fixes listing content, manages WFS inventory and handles customer messages, the areas that decide the badge. Walmart decides who gets the badge, so we don’t promise it. Message us with your store link and we’ll show you which scores to work on first.
