Walmart gives every published item a Listing Quality score. It affects how your items show up to shoppers, and parts of it count toward the Pro Seller badge and new-seller credits. Use this checklist to find the score, see which part is holding it back and fix it. Details come from Walmart Marketplace Learn, checked September 2026.
Short answer
Walmart’s Listing Quality score has five parts: content quality (item name, description, key features and images), price competitiveness, shipping speed, published and in stock, and ratings and reviews. Find it in Seller Center under Growth, then Listing Quality, and work through the Fix issues suggestions item by item.
What the score is made of

| Shipping | The delivery speed you promise. Items over 50 pounds or priced at $10 or less aren’t counted. |
| Published & in stock | How often the item was available to buy over the last seven days. |
| Ratings & reviews | The number of customer reviews and the average rating. |
Why the number matters
- Pro Seller: Walmart’s Pro Seller criteria ask for a content quality score of 75% or above.
- New-Seller Savings: Walmart’s Walmart Connect ad credit for new sellers needs a Content Quality score of 80 or higher.
Checklist: content quality
- Item name clear and within Walmart’s product detail policy (up to 150 characters, no banned words).
- Description written for shoppers, with the details they ask about.
- Key features filled in, one benefit or spec per line.
- Enough images, starting with a main image on a white background.
- Every attribute for the category filled in. Use the Bulk Attribute Editor when many items share the same gaps.
Checklist: offer
- Price checked against the same item elsewhere. The Pricing Insights dashboard shows where you’re out of line.
- Shipping templates set to the fastest delivery you can keep. Consider Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) for items that sell often.
- Inventory updated so items don’t show out of stock. Availability is judged on the last seven days.
Checklist: ratings and reviews
- Items with few or no reviews listed, so you know where reviews are missing.
- Low-rated items checked for the cause: wrong description, damaged in shipping, missing parts.
- Only Walmart’s own review programs used. Never offer anything in exchange for a review.
How to work through it in Seller Center
- Open Growth, then Listing Quality.
- Start with items that sell or get views, not the whole catalog at once.
- Open Fix issues on each item and follow the suggestions for the weakest part.
- Recheck the score after your changes publish.
